The context layer for engineering teams

Every task arrives with the context to finish it.

Osco connects your architecture, docs, API reference and code to the work itself. Engineers start on a task knowing what, why and where, without booking time with the one person who remembers.

The real bottleneck

Your best engineers have become the team’s search engine.

A ticket says “Implement payment webhook.” Then come the questions: which service, which doc is current, why that provider, what counts as done, who’s blocked. Answers live in someone’s head, an old thread, and three wikis. So the person who knows gets interrupted again.

Trackers record that work exists. Wikis store pages nobody links to. Neither knows what a task actually needs.

Keeps docs next to the work they explain

Acceptance criteria that gate “done”
Your coding agent can read and update it

Not a tracker. Not a wiki.

One continuous line from knowledge to shipped work.

Knowledge, code and execution are first-class, connected objects, not separate tools stitched together with links.

The product

Everything a developer needs before the first commit.

Documentation, organised like a codebase

Project guides, architecture and decisions in folders you already know. Mermaid renders inline, and every heading lands in a sticky table of contents.

Backend architecture

FastAPI services behind a single gateway. Payments are processed asynchronously.

ClientAPIPaymentsWebhook
API reference

Import a Postman collection. See what’s live, what’s being built, and how well it’s documented.

Docs that read like a handbook

Markdown with Mermaid diagrams, code highlighting and a live table of contents. Drag in a whole docs folder and the structure comes with it.

An API reference the team trusts

Import Postman collections, document every endpoint, and switch environments so {{baseUrl}} and tokens fill themselves in.

Tasks that carry their context

Every task has the why, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and links to the exact docs, files and endpoints it touches.

One connected graph

Docs, endpoints, code and tasks link to each other both ways. Open an endpoint and see which tasks are building it.

Sharing with a boundary

Share a document or endpoint with your workspace or publicly. Every link can expire and be revoked.

A record of how things changed

Status moves, edits, links, access changes. Activity is captured at workspace, project and task level.

How it works

Start with what you already have.

1

Bring your knowledge in

Drop your docs folder and Postman collections in. Structure, titles and environments come with them in minutes, not a migration project.

2

Connect it to the work

Leads write tasks with a why and acceptance criteria, then link the docs, files and endpoints that matter. Links go both ways.

3

Hand off without a meeting

Developers open a task and find everything in one place. Reviewers see the criteria. Leads get their afternoons back.

“I assigned a developer a task, but they still needed to ask me twenty questions before they could start.”
The problem Osco was built to end.

Works with your coding agent

Your agent writes the code. It can keep the docs current too.

Osco has an MCP server. Connect Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client, then ask in plain words: publish the docs folder, map the features, update the doc for the code you just changed.

  1. 1

    Create a token

In your workspace go to Settings → Coding agents.
  2. 2

Add one line to your agent

$ claude mcp add --transport http osco https://…/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer …"
  3. 3

Ask it to do the work

It works as you: your role and project access apply to every call.

Publish a docs folder

Sends your repo’s markdown into Osco folders. Run it again and it only updates what changed.

publish_docs

Map features

Builds the feature graph: nested features, the docs behind each one, and the flow between them.

build_feature_graph · edit_feature

Read and edit docs

Reads a doc before changing code, then updates it once the change is merged. It can also move and rename docs.

read_doc · write_doc

Clean up safely

Deleted docs go to the trash, and the agent can list the trash and restore anything from it.

delete_doc · restore_doc

Works with any MCP client: Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, and others.

Security & control

Your architecture is sensitive. We treat it that way.

Osco holds how your systems really work. Access control is enforced on the server, not hidden in the interface.

Tenant isolation, enforced server-side

Every query is scoped to the workspace. Guessing another workspace’s IDs returns nothing.

Roles with 20+ granular permissions

Six built-in roles, fully editable, plus custom ones. Nobody can grant a permission they don’t hold.

Project-level access

Give contractors or new hires one project, not the whole company’s knowledge.

Secrets stay secret

Secret environment values are never sent to people who can’t edit them. Personal tokens never leave your browser.

Admin controls

Deactivate members instantly, reset passwords with one-time links, and sign people out everywhere.

Audit trail

Shares, role changes, deactivations and edits are all recorded in the activity feed.

On the roadmap
GitHub, wired in

Link repositories, browse code from a task, and let pull requests move work forward. Automation stays opt-in.

On the roadmap
Ask your project

“How does authentication work?” Answers grounded only in your project’s docs, tasks and decisions, and never another workspace’s.
